Dear Parent,
At this time of year, the students are excited about their summer days of fun and vacation, and so they seem to have more energy as the sun shines more brightly each day!
This time of year is exciting, too, because it gives me the chance to look back at all the wonderful things that have happened since we began last September. Our 2nd grade students have received their First Holy Communion. The activities, prayer services, church tours, outreach, and social gatherings have been a joy to participate with the children and their dedicated Catechists. Our faith is stronger because the catechists and myself had the chance to share faith experiences with your children.
You, though, have played the most important role in your child’s learning this year. You put faith into action every day. It is your own commitment to living a faithful Christian life that has taught your child the most about the Catholic faith. The Catechist and I admire you greatly for that, and feel deeply privileged for having had the chance to share in the faith life of your child throughout this past year.
It is that time of year where we ask you to please “register” your child for the year 2010-2011 as soon as possible. I ask that you please email me and I will send you a registration form. The registration fee remains the same $125.00 per child. When you register early it helps me prepare more efficiently for the coming year. Thank you!
Here are dates to remember for the month of May:
- May 5, 12, 19, 26, CCD classes
- May 12 Mary Prayer Service 4:15PM in the church
- May 15, 16 Celebration of First Communion for second group of children
- May 23 RCIA Session, Family Potluck
- May 26 Last Day of Class
