Every Thanksgiving St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Community collects bags of Thanksgiving meal supplies. Volunteers pick up bags and are asked to fill them with the items on the provided lists, including a $25 gift card to a local grocery store which can be used for a family to purchase a turkey. Volunteers are then asked to drop off their bag at the church or Parish Office.
The school’s Student Council then organizes the bags and helps load them onto a truck for delivery to St. Joesph’s Center. This program is an opportunity to discuss with kids about those who suffer from food insecurity and how we can help, and it allows families to help the underserved.
